WHAT IS THE MEET ME IN THE MIDDLE PROJECT?
The Meet Me in the Middle Project is a visual Lenten observation of the Gospel that began in 2015 on brittlafont.com.
Our hope is to curate (collect and organize) BEFORE and AFTER pictures, with the goal of celebrating the work happens between the pictures, and connect our observations with our understanding of the Christian life. You can read more about the intention behind the project here.
HOW CAN I BECOME A CURATOR?
To Curate: to collect, select and present information or items such as pictures, video, music, etc. for people to use or enjoy, using your professional or expert knowledge.
Each Wednesday, from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week, post one collage, of two images, a before and an after (see above) with the words Before & After in text on the collage, plus the hashtag #MeetMeintheMiddleProj. Write the story of what happened in the middle of “before and after.” Share it on the web via a blog, Pinterest or Instagram. Then choose the appropriate option, to link up here:
Curate through a blog: The blog post should have the before and after collage as the featured image and the text should explain how seeing the before and after reminds you of God’s work in your life, in the Gospel, during Lent…whatever works! Here is the short post that accompanied the garden collage above.
And/Or
Curate through Pinterest: When you pin your before and after collage image, the description should explain how you see God at work “in the middle.” What has happened between the pictures? Celebrate it! A description for the picture above might be: “After the seed is planted in the ground it can take weeks to see any evidence of growth. Christian life can be like that too—sometimes we wonder when we will experience real change in our hearts, but God is faithfully at work and will grow us into what we were designed to be.”

Curate through Instagram: When you upload your Instagram before and after collage collage, you image’s post should explain how you see God at work “in the middle.” What has happened between the pictures? Celebrate it! A description for the picture above might be: “After the seed is planted in the ground it can take weeks to see any evidence of growth. Christian life can be like that too—sometimes we wonder when we will experience real change in our hearts, but God is faithfully at work and will grow us into what we were designed to be.“
